Doug is a versatile writer with copywriting, ghostwriting, content writing and journalism experience focusing on personal finance and technology, and published work in two magazines.
For the past twenty years he was a partner in a small marketing/brand design firm managing editorial services. He wrote print collateral copy and online content for clients ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 500 conglomerates, including United Airlines, Ziff Davis, Sebastiani, AT&T, E2open and DayJet.
For three of those years he wrote and edited the corporate newsletter for First Security Loan, the largest independent mortgage broker in Northern California before the market crash in the late 2000’s. He wrote and edited over fifty personal finance articles for their newsletter on a broad range of topics. Other personal finance clients he wrote for include Union Bank of California and Hybrid Core Homes.
Doug has also written on technology. His articles on the Internet and mobile apps and devices appeared in Profiles Magazine and his software reviews appeared in MacUser. In addition, he wrote case studies and marketing collateral for the software vendor Serus.

Doug graduated in the top one percent of his class with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and studied computer science at Stanford.
