My emphasis is on communicating complex subjects to new, unfamiliar audiences. I'm the author of String Theory For Dummies, the writer/editor of the About.com Physics website, a contributing editor to Black Gate fantasy magazine, and a freelance writer whose work has appeared on the PBS Nova Physics blog, the EBSCO research database, and a number of books on philosophy and popular culture. I have also published science fiction and fantasy fiction. I hold an undergraduate degree in Physics and a Master's degree in Mathematics Education, and have a decade of experience in the educational assessment industry, designing and editing mathematics assessments.
