Hello, My name is Scott Harkless. I am a 28 year old librarian living and working in Washington D.C. Professionally I work as a Metadata and Acquisitions Librarian in a prominent federal institution.
I graduated with honors from Kutztown University with a BS in Library Science (minor in history). Then I completed a Masters in Library science and Information Science with a specialization in Archives and Digital Curation from the University of Maryland. In my professional career I have presented on themes such as AI in libraries, Data visualization, GIS in historic preservation, and others at conferences local and abroad.
As a writer I have produced works for public institutions such as the Executive office of the President libraries, The State Library of Pennsylvania, and the city council of Annapolis. In addition I sometimes sub contract as a documentation consultant for business and IT services.
In my free time I am a historical reenactor stuck between reading his books and assuaging my two cats need for attention.
