I grew up traveling the world as the daughter of a military officer and developed a passion for learning about people and culture. Through my experiences teaching English as a second language (ESOL) in Africa and Asia, I learned to communicate clearly across social, cultural, and language barriers.
I spent ten years working for a non-profit organization that empowers and equips college students to become leaders and community influencers. I continued to develop as a communicator, gaining experience interacting with college students, faculty, and staff, parents, alumni, and potential students. I also managed all the communication, social media, and fundraising for the organization chapters at several schools in Virginia.
As a freelance writer, I bring experience communicating with a variety of audiences about a wide range of topics. I specialize in website and blog content and I enjoy being the "interpreter", helping businesses communicate clearly and effectively with their target audiences.
