A teacher by trade and a writer at heart, I have spent the majority of my professional life working with immigrant, refugee and international students teaching English as a Second Language. I specialized in the teaching of writing and my most cherished moments were those engaged in facilitating writing workshops, immersed in the stories that emerged from my students lives and experiences. After 14 years working in this capacity both domestically (in k-12, community college and university settings) and abroad (in college and professional development programs), I decided to take my career in a new direction. I took a sabbatical year and traveled on my own for five months, then earned my certification as a yoga instructor. Now a yoga teacher and freelance writer, I enjoy writing on a variety of topics and look forward to putting my skills to use to meet your writing needs!
